A little bit more about me…..
So what is it I do exactly?
I work from home full-time, earning money by reselling various used and new items on eBay and other selling platforms.
I’m working towards freelance writing, building a portfolio and looking at gaining regular clients.
I’m also working towards my blog and YouTube channel becoming a source of income too. The blog is the main focus, but I do love YouTube and making videos so I`ll continue to do that.
I’ll be starting matched betting again in the near future.
I’m still in the process of building my business and learning new things every day. I’m also still learning and developing myself and my health and well-being, it’s a constant journey to living your best life.
However, after a few years of self-employment and working from home and experimenting with various ways to earn money and working out my own strengths and weaknesses as well as continuing on my self-improvement journey, I feel ready to share my experiences and love of life and all it has to offer.
Life in general
I want to experience as much as possible with my husband and son, I want us to have fun and share that fun with you. In the hope that if you are struggling, you look at what we are doing and think well if they can do it, so can I.
What I want to achieve
I have an urge to want to help others, I want to share my journey and what I’ve learnt to help others either start their journey or take their current one further.
I want to show people who are struggling, that it is worth carrying on, there is light at the end of the tunnel, life does get better if we stick at it.
I pride myself on being open and honest; a little too much sometimes! This journey isn’t easy, not by a long shot. It takes a lot of work, dedication and perseverance. I am a great believer in that if you apply yourself and work hard enough then anything is possible.
I think the important thing to remember is that no matter what we are working towards, we should enjoy the here and now as much as we can. I’m all for powering on, improving ourselves, making our lives better, but to make sure we look after ourselves in the present.
I’m always on the lookout for ways to make money, and little tips and tricks to save it. Managing money doesn’t always have to be the headache we can sometimes make it. Even though many people say “money isn’t everything” they’re right it isn’t, but it is easier to say that when you have money and you’re not worrying about whether you should pay a bill or buy food!
I honestly think if we change our money mindset, and don’t make it out to be such a taboo, scary topic, we can get our situation under control quickly and painlessly. We just need to change the way we think about it, apply our knowledge of side hustles and earning on the side as well as not being scared of money, facing it head-on, not hiding away from it. I’m going to explore this in more depth on the blog.
I’ve discovered over the past few years that being organised helps no end towards productivity. Once we have certain aspects of our lives organised and planned out it aids us to move forward much quicker than if we are struggling to make it through the day, without endless stumbling blocks. I know this because I’ve struggled through endless days of chaos, in various rented house over my lifetime and I’ve discovered, for me, I need a clean and tidy house to be productive in other things, each to their own, ay!
I’m talking about simple things such as meal planning, cleaning routines, routines in general. Having these things in place takes the stress and worry out of the day as we all know what is expected of us and it doesn’t all end up being left for one person to do everything at the last minute.
When I know these aspects of my day are sorted it frees me up to get on with home education, my business, general projects or doing things for other people. It makes life, in general, run so much smoother. Again I`ll be delving into this in more depth on the blog.
I have a tattoo of a broken heart on my hip! I got this tat quite a while after my Mum passed away, but it was done in memory of her. Id love more tattoos!
I learned to ride a motorbike before I drove a car. I’ve got a full motorcycle licence – I love motorbikes but haven’t owned one for years now.
I love gadgets and technology. Mobile phones, cameras, computers, laptops, TVs and toys I just love how far we have progressed in the last 30 years. I find it fascinating that there is a whole generation that has never had to rewind a VHS tape or had their favourite cassette tape chewed up in the heads of the player!
I adore coffee, a little too much perhaps. This is a strange one really as I used to be an out and out tea drinker never touching coffee. Then I started work in an office, and the whole office ran on coffee and from then on I’ve always preferred coffee.
I was a “tomboy” (is that even a phrase nowadays? Or is it offensive? Well I’m talking about myself and wouldn’t use it to describe anyone else) It’s the only way I can describe my childhood. I just preferred all things “boy” (well what was considered boy stuff back then anyway). Cars, action men, boy’s clothes, BMX bikes. Maybe, if everyone hadn’t labelled me a “tomboy” it wouldn’t have taken me so long to become interested in more feminine things. Who knows but I honestly have no regrets I loved my childhood!
It’s only since I met my now husband that I started to explore my feminine side. It was my husband who made me realise that just because I had spent most of my life believing I wasn’t girlie enough to look at make-up, clothing, handbags this didn’t mean I had to carry on like that.
It’s been a revelation! I’ve discovered I LOVE handbags, really LOVE them! I’m excited and really interested in make-up, who knew there was so much choice! And clothes, lovely clothes, I love swishy summer dresses and skirts, and my favourite autumn/winter attire is skinny black jeans, boots and a chunky knit, divine!
Seasonal celebrations – I might as well get this out in the open on my “about me” page. I’m nuts about Easter, St Valentines, Halloween and Christmas, as well as any other celebration I can decorate for. It’s an affliction, I can’t help it! All the lovely trinkets and shiny things in the shops are just crying out to be purchased and displayed in my house. I LOVE LOVE LOVE celebrations!!
So that’s it, just a bit more information about what I do, my thoughts on starting our journey into leading our best life and a little look at some of the things I intend on doing on the blog.
Do you have any questions for me? If so please feel free to comment I always reply and I`ll look forward to speaking to you.
If you have a few extra minutes, why not pop over to social media and say “Hi”, I’m on there daily at various points throughout the day and I can’t wait to meet you!
