Halloween decorations around the house- for the last 3 to 4 years ever since little man could understand the concept we have decorated for Halloween.
I love the colourful, fun and friendly decorations. I don’t want to make it scary for little man, so I tend to buy the kids character decorations from either Poundland or Home Bargains occasionally picking up the odd item from other shops if it’s suitable.
As little man gets older I’d love to go a little more Autumn Classic with the decorating. Instead of what some might consider “tacky”. Even though I do love a good cheesy or tacky decoration don’t get me wrong, I’ve bought enough! I’d just like to make it more subtle, things like a mantlepiece display made from autumnal leaves and foliage, real pumpkins scattered about, glass vases with foliage in them and maybe some lights. That type of thing.
However, for now, we’ve done it so a 7 year old enjoys it. Yes, we like it too but it has been mainly done for little man.
So without any more of my waffling here’s how we have decorated for Halloween this year.
Living Room – Halloween decorations around the house
Kitchen – Halloween decorations around the house
So, there we have, it this years Halloween decorations around the house, most of these items were either bought in Poundland or Home Bargains. I’ve been collecting them for about 4 years now, I make sure when we take them down to store them well so they don’t get damaged and so we can reuse them.
How about you, do you decorate for Halloween or Autumn? Do you do it even if you’re not having a Halloween party or only if you are? I’d really love to know, please do drop me a comment and let me know.
