Happy New Year! Welcome to 2019, a year I strongly believe will be a good year all round! Well I hope so anyway, lets be positive about it and see how it goes.
I’m aiming for positivity, motivation, consistency and a go get ‘em attitude I thought I’d lost a long time ago, I was wrong!
I’m not one for resolutions, I never have been really. I’ve always thought if you want to make a change or reach a goal you should start it at
So as I did last year I’m continuing with my monthly goals, except this time I am hoping beyond hope I actually manage to smash them out the park!
Start making healthier food choices – as I’m approaching 40 my tummy has decided to pop out and I currently look about 4 months pregnant…all the time….awkward to say the least.
However, I’ve never been on a diet and I don’t plan on starting now. I strongly believe to lose a little weight or tone certain areas of your body you need to make permanent changes that will naturally work alongside your normal routine.
Work on exercising more – in connection to the top one, I’m planning on starting either using my sons Nintendo Switch and put the Just Dance game into aerobics mode or follow along with a YouTube exercise video, or go out for a brisk walk making sure I raise my heartrate; at least 5 days a week.
Read for at least half an hour a day – any book so long as I enjoy it. If I don’t enjoy it, I’m allowing myself to put it down and choose another. I’ve always had an issue with not finishing a book but then it’s a total waste of time reading a book you’re not enjoying, don’t you think? So, I’ve said it’s ok to choose another!
Remember to wash my make up off, if I’ve put some on! – I’m so bad at this, it’s really not doing my face any good! I’m so bad!
Drink more water – ok I’ve been doing this for the last few weeks anyway. I’m just making it official! Did I mention, I hate water!
Try out The Organised Mum Method (TOMM)! I’ve been saying this for weeks now. I’ve dipped in and out of it but I need to make a solid commitment now we’ve got all the decorations down and I’m doing a deep clean anyway. Here’s Gemma’s website TheOrganisedMum.Blog if you fancy a nosey!
Meal plan and shop with a list –
Have family walks weekly – funnily enough my son has asked us if we can start going on family walks to explore new areas. Who am I to refuse such a cute request!
Go out as a family at least once a week – now I don’t mean shopping or walking to and from school! I’d also like to try and make this separate from the walks but if we can I’d love us to visit somewhere or go swimming, even having some food out together somewhere; some activity as a family.
Stick to our family budget – I’d love to improve on our spending however I’m realistic and I’d be happy just sticking to the budget for now.
File my tax return – ok, ok I was supposed to have already done this months ago! I didn’t. It must be done this month obviously!
Publish 2 posts a week to the blog.
Get ahead with my blog posts by 3 weeks. So have 3 weeks worth of blog posts finished and scheduled in advance by
Continue to use (and enjoy using) social media daily! – this might seem easy to some but I find it very draining unless I’m prepared and organised, so it’s quite a challenge for me.
Have the minimum of 4 YouTube videos published by the end of Jan.
Extra blog jobs – there are a few things I’d really like to explore, not majorly in-depth at the minute but I would like to explore them
Reselling – sort through the stock split out into sell on eBay and sell on local selling sites. I’m not giving myself targets this month, I just want an idea of what will be sold where. I’ve mentioned before that I’ve sold on and off on eBay for almost 20 years.
I hope you found this post useful!
