Goals for 2019 – I don’t want this post to go on too long because I am starting to feel like my blog is just all about goals!
However, I do think it is important to lay out my expectations for the year ahead.
My goals have never really changed, I have 2 main life goals which are
- To be running a successful work from home business earning at least double what my husband and I used to earn when we both worked full time.
- To make sure, each member of our little family is healthy, happy, content and fulfilled.
These are running themes year on year and will only evolve once they have been achieved.
I do add extras on though. Which are as follows.
- To start earning a regular income from the business. (By business I mean blog, reselling, side hustles and YouTube. I don’t think YouTube will be making me money this year though, next year maybe, but it takes an awful lot of work!)
My income over the last couple of years of self employment has been sporadic, which is not conducive of being able to plan for things, nor be able to treat us as a family. So I have to work towards making a regular income.
- The second thing I plan on working on is my mindset.
It’s so important to have a positive mind set. Even if you set aside the law of attraction and motivational therapy.
Having a positive mind set, I believe is the key to motivation, happiness, get up and go and general wellness.
To reinforce a positive mindset on a daily basis, yes, I do need a little daily reminder, I’m going to finish this poster which will be stuck to the bedroom wall that I look at as soon as I get out of bed.
It’s not too late to lay out your expectations for the year, or even the month if you want to start smaller.
My post on setting your goals, might be of some help.
I don’t think it helps if you expect too much of yourself. It can be crushing to over promise and under deliver every time.
Now, I’m not suggesting we don’t challenge and stretch ourselves but we must stay realistic and give ourselves half a chance in achieving our goals.
If this post isn’t for you at this time but you know someone it might help then please feel free to share it or pass it on.
Have you laid out yearly achievements or do you do monthly goals? Is there something you want to ask me about goals or anything else I blog about?
If you answered yes to any of these please either drop me a comment below, send me an email or catch up with me over on social media, I look forward to hearing from you.
