Within this policy, I will lay out all of the different types of paid and collaborative work I accept on this website.
I have to also reiterate, all opinions are my own, honest and based on my personal experience. I would never recommend or promote anything I hadn’t used myself or I didn’t fully believe in.
AFFILIATE & REFERRAL LINKS
I do use affiliate links on this website.
Within articles, all affiliate links will be clearly marked with an *. Or if there are multiple affiliate links all together with a post, I will say “all of the following are affiliate links”
An affiliate link means that I use third-party companies, who supply me with links to place on my blog (and/or social media channels). If you click on these links, and either purchase something or sign up to a service, I will receive a percentage of that sale; at no extra cost to yourself.
I would never promote something just because it is paid, it has to be a genuine fit for my readers.
I do accept paid sponsored posts and collaborative posts, I will make it clear within the title and the post which ones are paid or sponsored or a collaborative effort, by stating AD. These posts mean I have been paid either with cash, gifts vouchers or free items. These posts might also require me to follow instructions from the company providing the item/cash/gift voucher, or I might be asked to use a specific hashtag.
I need to really stress here, even though I may be getting paid to write these types of posts, I will only ever accept these if they are a good fit for my blog and my readers, and/or I have already used and love the item or I have tested the item and loved it. I will always give my honest opinion and recommendations. I will be honest because I want to make a success of my blog and am passionate about blogging and genuinely want to help people so would never do anything that put my blog in jeopardy.
I will never accept a “job” just because it is offering to pay me. No amount of money can replace my conscience and integrity.
Generally, these types of posts will remain live on this site for a minimum of 12 months. Unless otherwise discussed.

I do get paid, if and when you click through to these advertisements, the amount is nominal but does go towards the running of the site.
Our advertising partners include but are not limited to Jetpack Ads

I am always very happy if offered a suitable item, to review on my blog. These items may have been sent to me for free, with the agreement that I write about it, or post about it using my social media channels. Or it may be sent for free and I may also be paid. Or it could be sent for free, out of the blue with no expectation of anything happening. Or I could just see something, buy it with my own money, love it and want to discuss it.
I will always state within the post how I came to have the item and what coverage, if any, is required.
There are two distinct differences I will distinguish between.
If I was aware that an item was on its way and there are expectations attached to me sharing about the item, I will include the AD requirement within the post and at the beginning of the post as well as in the social media post.
If an item turns up without my prior knowledge and there are no expectations to me sharing it anywhere but I share it anyway because I love it I will use AD-GIFTED.
It makes no difference to me if I review an item that is sent to me free or I buy it, either of these scenarios will deliver the same results, my honest and constructive feedback.
I can assure you, I would never accept a product to review if I didn’t think it would fit my family and within my blog and my readers.
I want my readers to feel fully confident in my ethics and also any future business partners to feel they can trust my honest and constructive feedback.
A guest post is when one blogger or content creator, writes and has a post published on another bloggers website.
I do, on occasion accept or ask for guest posts if I need to provide information I don’t feel experienced enough to provide myself.
Most times these posts will be written and provided by fellow bloggers I know or if an idea is put to me that I feel will provide great content for the blog I may accept this for the benefit of my readers.
These posts are not paid for and I don’t receive any reimbursement for them.
Competitions and Giveaways
From time to time I will hold competitions and giveaways on my site.
If necessary and required should the competition or giveaway promote either my brand (my blog) or a different brand the competition or giveaway will be labelled accordingly. With AD and an explanation of what was provided and why.
