Thank you for taking the time to read through my disclosure policy, I know they aren’t the most fun thing to read but they are so important, so we all know where we stand!
If you don’t accept this disclosure policy, I would advise you to stop reading the blog and clear your cookies.
Making Money Disclosure
After much consideration, I have decided I am happy to earn money from my blog. Why? You might ask. Well, I love doing it and I love being able to share everything we have discovered and learnt, as a family.
However, to be able to make the blog the best I can I need to be able to earn some money form it, otherwise, it would become almost impossible for me to carry on at such a level permanently.
It also costs money to run a blog, somethings are monthly and some yearly. I would love to be able to cover my expenses and have a bit left over for either essentials or treats.
Consider this for a second. If I were to ask you, “what is your most favourite hobby or past time?” Then if I said, “well actually there’s a way you can leave your job and earn money doing your favourite past time” Wouldn’t you jump at the chance? I know I did.
I’m actually doing something I love and could be getting paid for it. After all the years struggling and working dead-end jobs I actually have a chance to improve our situation and lifestyle, so I want to grasp it with both hands!
Below are all the different ways I could potentially earn money
I am always more than happy to do a product review. It makes no difference to me if I bought the item and reviewed it, or if I was given it for free, the review would be the same, my honest opinion. Sometimes a product review might have an affiliate link, or offer link but I will always openly explain when these are present.
Affiliate & Referral Links
All or some of the posts on my blog and Social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Pinterest) could contain an affiliate or referral link.
I will always have a disclosure at the top of the blog post, or at the beginning of my social media post if affiliates are in that post. As well as marking every individual affiliate link with a *. So you can clearly see what is what.
As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases.
I will on occasion, display advertising from third parties on this blog. I will receive monetary compensation for displaying adverts on the blog. Although I do take care when deciding what adverts I will place on my blog, I cannot take responsibility as to the content on the third-party website.
Sponsored or Collaborative Posts
I do accept sponsored and/or collaborative posts on my blog.
These are when a blogger (me) works together with a company or brand and the blogger writes or creates a blog or social media post, which may contain a link to the company, brand or product and the blogger gets paid for it, either in cash, vouchers, products or experiences.
When I accept these types of collaborations, I first have to consider a couple of things.
As I’ve mentioned further up, I want to make money from my blog. However, I do not want to make money and disregard my readers.
If I accept a collaboration I first decide if it is something that fits with my blog and/or our lifestyle. Because that is what I’m sharing, our lifestyle. If I think it fits that, then I think about how it could benefit or improve my reader’s lives. There has to be a point to sharing things, it is not just about the money here.
When I do accept a collaboration no matter whether it’s on the blog or my social media accounts I will always disclose what it is so you are fully aware of what you are seeing.
I will do this by firstly displaying either AD, (AD) or #AD at the top of the blog or social media post, or in the first place you will see it on social media. I will then also put a * next to any links which are associated directly with the collaboration.
I will also use Ad-Gifted on some posts. This means I have been sent the product to feature within some content. Or I’ve been sent a product with no expectation of sharing, but I’ve shared it anyway.
All affiliate content will be live on the blog for 12 months.
All content on my blog will be written by me and will contain my open and honest opinion regardless of the status of a product or services (i.e. it doesn’t matter whether it’s paid or not, you’ll still get an honest opinion!)
If you have any questions about any of this, then please do get in touch I’m more than happy to explain further if I can.
I have mentioned briefly above about guest posts. Occasionally I`ll allow guest posts from fellow bloggers or content creators. Anyone I work with, will either been known to me already, or I will have knowledge of the person and will know if they are a good fit for my readers.
Guest posts are not generally paid, so I won’t receive anything from allowing guest posts. However, should that change I will always disclose the situation.

I know its mostly common sense but it’s worth mentioning that all opinions on this blog are mine and mine alone. Should I ever become employed again in the future or join any clubs, societies, churches, volunteer organisations or groups the opinions stated on this blog are my own.
Except if I were to accept a “Guest Post” which will be clearly stated. Then obviously the person writing the post would be expressing their opinion. However, it makes sense that I would either agree or be interested in their opinion otherwise I wouldn’t be inviting them as a guest poster!
Change of Opinions
Having said the above, when I write this blog. I am doing so at a certain point in time, now. A few years down the line I might actually change my opinion on something as I’ll have gained more experience and knowledge. This is something that happens with any adults (and kids too!), I’m not saying it’s a definite but it is possible and I don’t want to shock or upset anyone should my opinion on something ever change.
I will stress that all my content is thoroughly researched at the time of posting, as well as this I will continue to update relevant posts as time passes.
However, I will reach a point when I have many, many blog posts and continually updating them will and does take time. So, even though my posts were correct at time of publishing, because things change and evolve I might at some point have an inaccurate post. I will strive to keep posts as up to date as possible but please be aware I can’t take responsibility for inaccurate data.
I do allow comments on my blog, after much consideration, I decided they are a lovely way for people to interact with my posts. I do have an anti-spam plugin set up called Akismet, which should fingers crossed remove the worst comments.
However, I do reserve the right to remove a comment for any reason whatsoever, an example could be because the comment was rude, anonymous or used profanity.
I want the blog to be a kind and happy place, feel free to express your opinion but try and be polite and civil, you know, as you would do if we were face to face.
I will from time to time share products I think are useful or fit our lifestyle, however, I can’t make you any promises that this will be the same for you. Any recommendations I make are, obviously based on my opinion, which in reality could be different to yours.
I can’t be responsible if you purchase or try something I’ve spoken about on my blog, YouTube or social media and it doesn’t go well for you. As with anything in life, you should consider your own circumstances and do your own research when considering such things, this is what I do.
Your Money – Finances
There will be times I will discuss and share how I earn money from home. Again, I`ll be speaking from experience about my choices. I can’t guarantee any kind of income or profit because everyone is different. I’m speaking about me and my family and things that have or haven’t worked for us.
I also can’t be held responsible for whatever happens should you decide to try anything I have tried, again we are all different and pursue things differently. I want to help and share my experiences good and bad but I also hope people use common sense when embarking on any new experience or venture.
I’m not a financial advisor, education specialist, doctor, therapist or any other professionally trained person you can think of. I’m me, and I’m sharing our life via our experiences. Please consider all options and use common sense when needed.
Mistakes & Stupidity
I’m going, to be honest here, as always. And state, I’m only human. I have been known in the past to make mistakes and do things that can only be classed as stupid. I’m sure I’ll do this again in the future because I’m human.
I strive to be open, kind and supportive. I will always be honest and always explain any extra points that need explaining along the way. I will always be transparent with my earnings and experiences. But there is a good chance ill also make mistakes and be stupid along the way, I just want you to understand this is because I’m not perfect!
It certainly is not my intention should I ever offend anyone. I would never knowingly injure, defame or liable anyone. And should anything on my blog such as slang, grammar or abbreviations ever cause offence in your country or culture then I apologise as this certainly was not my intention.
When running a blog online there is a good chance you will have other websites linking to you. I, unfortunately, cannot control this. Should you find a link on a site you think is spurious then I’m afraid there is nothing I can do about it, it would have to be taken up with the owner of the spurious site.
I can confirm though that I will never connect my blog to a “link farm” or “link directory”, it’s just a personal thing that I don’t feel comfortable participating in.
I obviously try my best when keeping the blog live. But should the blog crash or “go down” I can’t be held responsible for any losses or disappointment that may occur. Access to my blog could be temporarily or permanently denied at my own discretion. This could be for updates and/or maintenance, or any reason necessary. I will always endeavour to get the site back up as quickly as possible.
