Sarah Beth Blogs
Hey! Welcome! Thanks for stopping by 🙂
So, Sarah Beth Blogs, what’s the blog about? Who am I? Why am I blogging?
What’s the blog about?
Sarah Beth Blogs is a lifestyle blog. A place where I can explore life and what it has to offer, from the point of view of an almost 40-year-old, who is a Mum and wife.
That doesn’t mean everything is aimed at women or parents either! My interests and explorations are wide-ranging and can include a wide variety of things!
Organisation & motivation.
Money – making it and saving it.
Blogging – I love blogging so much and strongly believe anyone can blog. I think it’s so important to support and cheer on all bloggers, especially newbies who might need that bit more reassurance.
Lifestyle – sharing our day to day antics as a family and as individuals.
Blackpool – I was born and currently live in Blackpool, Lancashire. I LOVE my hometown and think it deserves its own cheerleader. So I`ll also be exploring areas in and around Blackpool and the Fylde Coast and bring you all you need to know whether you’re planning a mini break or a longer visit.
What I can offer you at Sarah Beth Blogs?
From my life experiences so far and all the things I’ve had to battle through, I honestly believe I can offer you an honest perspective on subjects that affect us all.
I’ve battled through my demons and have a new found appreciation and love of life. We only get one shot at life, so I honestly believe we should live our best life, be happy and content and do things that help us grow as humans.
I want to show you how to find your motivation, get organised, manage your money – earning and saving it, start blogging, build your blog. All while increasing your confidence, having fun and supporting you all the way. We can learn and grow together as we work towards our very best life!
Who am I? The person behind Sarah Beth Blogs
I’m Sarah Beth Lillico, happily married to Rick for 10 years. We have one son together called Richard. Richard was born on Christmas day! Yes, it was a massive shock as he was 5 days late, but not as much of a shock as it might have been because my birthday is also very close to Christmas so we are used to Christmas birthdays in our house.
Having overcome PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) and learning to deal with my anxiety, I believe I have a unique perspective on life and really want to help others who are on a journey to improve all areas and aspects of their life. I believe we can do this together so we can support and encourage each other.
Why am I blogging at Sarah Beth Blogs?
Good question! Well, I want to share everything I’m learning. I spend lots of time researching topics and working towards bettering myself as a human being, a mother and a wife and I thought well if I’m going to be spending all this time reaching things I might as well share what I learn.
I also really want to help others, yes, I know, it’s a bit of a cliché, but it’s true. I’ve really struggled through parts of my life for various reasons, which makes me really want to help and encourage anyone who might be struggling or questioning themselves.
I have a tattoo of a broken heart on my hip! I got this tat quite a while after my Mum passed away, but it was done in memory of her. Id love more tattoos!
I learned to ride a motorbike before I drove a car. I’ve got a full motorcycle licence – I love motorbikes but haven’t owned one for years now.
I love gadgets and technology. Mobile phones, cameras, computers, laptops, TVs and toys I just love how far we have progressed in the last 30 years. I find it fascinating that there is a whole generation that has never had to rewind a VHS tape or had their favourite cassette tape chewed up in the heads of the player!
I adore coffee, a little too much perhaps. This is a strange one really as I used to be an out and out tea drinker never touching coffee. Then I started work in an office, and the whole office ran on coffee and from then on I’ve always preferred coffee.
I was a “tomboy” (is that even a phrase nowadays? Or is it offensive? Well I’m talking about myself and wouldn’t use it to describe anyone else) It’s the only way I can describe my childhood. I just preferred all things “boy” (well what was considered boy stuff back then anyway). Cars, action men, boy’s clothes, BMX bikes. Maybe, if everyone hadn’t labelled me a “tomboy” it wouldn’t have taken me so long to become interested in more feminine things.
It’s only since I met my now husband that I started to explore my feminine side. It was my husband who made me realise that just because I had spent most of my life believing I wasn’t girlie enough to look at make-up, clothing, handbags this didn’t mean I had to carry on like that.
It’s been a revelation! I’ve discovered I LOVE handbags, really LOVE them! I’m excited and really interested in make-up, who knew there was so much choice! And clothes, lovely clothes, I love swishy summer dresses and skirts, and my favourite autumn/winter attire is skinny black jeans, boots and a chunky knit, divine!
Seasonal celebrations – I might as well get this out in the open on my “about me” page. I’m nuts about Easter, St Valentines, Halloween and Christmas, as well as any other celebration I can decorate for. It’s an affliction, I can’t help it! All the lovely trinkets and shiny things in the shops are just crying out to be purchased and displayed in my house. I LOVE LOVE LOVE celebrations!!
So! Do I sound like someone who you’d like to have cheerleading you on? Someone who you’d have a natter with over a coffee? Or tea if you prefer! 😉 Someone who you’d go to, in confidence for advice? Id love to be, I want to get to know each and every one of you so we can build our best lives together.
Or you can pop back weekly for new posts. I post twice a week at the moment on a Tuesday and Thursday most months. If youd like to get to know me a little more, Ive written a second post More About Me
If you’re at a loose end why not say “Hi” over on social media, I’m on there daily at various times throughout the day, Id honestly love to say Hello!
I honestly can’t wait to meet you!
